Meet
the Fly Fishing Guides
Trey
Coon
Yellowstone
TroutScout Owner Trey Coon is a licensed Outfitter and Guide. After
years of living in the "windy city" of Chicago and working
at the Chicago Board of Trade, Trey and his wife decided to pack
up and move west to Livingston, Montana for a less stressful lifestyle.
Trey's hobby and passion for fly-fishing and the great outdoors
became his business
Trey's
experience includes guiding for salmon on the Muskegon River and
steelhead on the St. Joe River in Michigan and Indiana, while fishing
his home water of Montana the rest of the year. His extensive experience
also includes the Florida Keys, king salmon fishing in Alaska and
12 years of crewing and guiding the Great Lakes.
Each
fall Trey is found guiding bird hunts (upland/waterfowl) all throughout
Montana. Trey is very passionate about fly-fishing and bird hunting
and it shows. He goes to great lengths to show his clients the best
experience possible. TroutScout is very proud of the staff that
we have and every guide we have strives for perfection for his client.
This attitude brings our clients back year after year. There are
quite a lot of guides and outfitters out there to choose from and
when a client returns or passes our name on, we know that we have
succeeded. This for us is the ultimate compliment.
"As
a guide, I think that it is important to provide the client with
a wonderful experience. To have lots of fun, teach some techniques
and show them what Big Sky Country is all about."

Dain

has continued his pursuit of fishing and bird hunting ever since.
In the past 13 years he has lived and guided in Wyoming, Idaho,
Montana and Alaska. He fell in love with the endless fishing,
hunting and recreational opportunities Montana has to offer

Aaron
Tewell
 |
|
Aaron
has spent his whole life pursuing anything and everything
with fins and feathers. The journey began in Ohio, and it
was not until 1995 that he found Montana. Now in Montana,
Aaron fishes as many waters as possible. His is often accompanied
by his Chesapeake Bay retriever and Llewellyn Setter chasing
all of Montana's game birds.
Aaron
loves the teaching side of guiding. Teaching a beginner the
basics of fly fishing, fishing together and catching trout
is the most rewarding part of guiding. He is constantly learning
new tricks and techniques from the most experienced fishermen
and Mother Nature. Whether it is a float trip down the majestic
Yellowstone River or a day in the CRP uplands, we will have
an unforgettable time under the Big Sky.

Molly
Semenik
Northern
Michigan was Molly's playground as a young girl. Her dad gave her
his Orvis bamboo fly rod, some Red Ball waders, and a fly and left
her to her own devices. Those famous Michigan waters: the Pere Marquette,
Au Sable, and Jordan rivers were Molly's trout stream teachers.
Now, many years later, her interest in the sport as yet to calm
down.
From
1979 through 2000 Molly lived in Utah fishing Utah's famous Green
and Provo rivers and also as far south as Lee's Ferry in Arizona.
It was during this time that Molly ventured in to the world of fly
fishing in salt water as well. In 2000, Molly and her family moved
to Livingston Montana (a dream come true). In 2001 Molly started
her own instruction business called Tie The Knot. That same
year she obtained her casting certification through the Federation
of Fly Fishers and became a licensed guide. She continues to be
very active in attending classes for instructors, and in advancing
her knowledge base with both salt, warm and cold water species.
"I
am pleased to join the TroutScout Team. I look forward to teaching
both in the classroom and on the water. One of the great aspects
of the sport is that the learning never stops. Everyone can have
fun learning how to fly fish! It's a fantastic sport!"
