These clinics are for those who have an interest in the wonderful sport we call fly fishing. This is designed for those who have never had a fly rod in their hand before or would like to brush up on skills they feel they need help with. This sport is like any other sport (except for golf) with the right instruction and the basic skills you can make your time on the water more productive and fun. Our classroom is the Yellowstone River in beautiful Paradise Valley, Yellowstone National Park and the world famous Spring Creeks of Paradise Valley. This will offer the angler a wide variety of water to learn on.
One of the most important parts of a successful angler's repertoire is to be able to adapt to a variety of different waters and the waters mentioned above have it all. The other challenge most anglers face is what fly to use, when to use it, why are we using it and how to use it. Our instructors will cover this in great length. An angler can very well pay $1,000.00 for a rod and reel and all the other toys and gadgets that go along with it, but if you don't use the right fly under the right situation it is all for not. Probably the most important part of fly fishing is the cast. With the right instruction by our staff you will see and feel your cast and presentation improve dramatically. With this knowledge, all your fishing trips will be more successful, with great memories that will last a lifetime.
Our curriculum will include casting a fly rod, reading water, entomology, what flies to use (match the hatch, dries, nymphs and streamers) fishing tactics, fly tying, how to correctly release a fish and fishing conservation.
Your instructor/guide will work with you for the duration of your stay. You may choose to have private one-on-one instruction or work in a group of up to three anglers.
Our Clinic and Lodging package includes not only the lessons, your guide, lunch, and transportation to and from Mission Creek Ranch B&B (just 10 miles east of Livingston). Mission Creek Ranch B&B is a 5,000 acre working cattle ranch with the most stunning view of the Absaroka Mountains just outside the back door. Enjoy over two miles of Yellowstone River frontage, its own spring creek and Mission Creek is just 50 feet from your room. The staff of Mission Creek are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They truly love what they do and it shows.

Not Included with Package Price:
Transportation from Airport, fishing license, additional private access fees and gratuity not included. Our packages also do not offer dinners. We don't want our clients outdoor activities cut short by the dinner bell. We encourage our clients to explore the many wonderful restaurants, art galleries and shops that Livingston has to offer. By not including dinner in our packages we are able to keep our costs up to $1,000.00 less per person than the other local lodges.
